Sherry Lachine is a dedicated Mental Health Professional and the visionary founder of Broadmind Inc, an organization she established in 2014. With a profound commitment to supporting the well-being of Veterans and their families, Sherry has become a respected leader in the field of mental health.

Sherry holds a Masters in Applied Psychology and is a registered mental health professional with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). Her journey in the realm of mental health began as a Veteran herself, providing a unique perspective to her work. Sherry is not only a Veteran but also the spouse of a Veteran, bringing a deep understanding of the challenges faced by military families.

As the lead facilitator of Broadmind Inc, Sherry has made significant contributions to mental health awareness and support across Canada. She has traveled extensively, teaching Mental Health First Aid specifically tailored for the Veterans community, reaching individuals in every province. Sherry has also worked with the Veterans Transition Network and received specialized training in Wounded Warriors programming, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

Proficient in both English and French, Sherry has established herself as a versatile and effective communicator. Her diverse clientele includes prominent organizations such as True Patriot Love, Princes Trust Canada, and the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC). Sherry has served as an advisor for the development of the Psychological Health and Safety standard for workplaces, showcasing her dedication to promoting mental health in various settings.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sherry is deeply involved in community initiatives. She actively supports organizations such as the Kingston Youth Shelter, Martha’s Table, Kingston East Business Association, and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). Sherry is not just a mental health advocate; she is a creator of impactful mental health programming, contributing to the resilience of both workplaces and communities.
